Our Story
Knot & कोरा
“Pure cloth, bound to the woman who wears it.”

The meaning of our name
In Sanskrit, कोरा (kora) means cloth in its most original, untouched, unwoven form — pure potential. It is the cloth before it becomes a story.
And a knot is the quiet binding between two things that were always meant to meet — the weave and the wearer, the artisan and the moment, tradition and the woman who carries it forward.
Together, they are us. Knot & Kora.
10 years in the business
A decade of slow stories
For ten years we've travelled across India — to looms in Kanchipuram, block studios in Bagru, the soft hands of weavers in Bengal — to bring home sarees that feel like they were made for you. We believe in slow craft, fair weavers, and pieces that outlive trends.
The process — why every saree feels special
Sourced by hand
We travel to weavers and block printers ourselves. No middlemen. No shortcuts.
Natural materials
Pure silks, handloom cottons, organza, natural dyes — chosen for how they age, not how they look new.
Block carving
Intricate designs hand-carved on wood, then stamped one motif at a time.
Carried with care
Each piece is hand-checked, gently steamed, and shipped pan-India in our signature wrap.
